I hold a PhD in Philosophy with a graduate minor in Women and Gender Studies from Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, MO. Before my studies in Saint Louis, I received both my master's and bachelor's degrees from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
My primary interests are in medical ethics, philosophy of medicine, aesthetics, medical humanities, applied ethics, and feminist philosophy.
Specific interests include BodyWorlds exhibits, plastinated bodies, wax anatomical models, and the exhibition of the human corpse in anatomy and art. My research is focused on the question of why do we enjoy looking at displays of dead bodies if dead bodies a typically held to be objects of disgust?
